Why

Mission

Clarity, not fluff.

I build rehearsal rooms and productions where craft, courage, and imagination collide — creating theatre that is architecturally sharp, emotionally honest, and fiercely alive. This isn't theory. It's what I do, every day.

Protect the Room
I've learned that great work happens when artists feel safe enough to risk everything. Every rehearsal, coaching session, and workshop becomes a sanctuary where vulnerability meets rigor. Clear communication. No chaos for chaos' sake. Warmth without mush. Rigor without cruelty. This is non-negotiable.
Build With Intention
I don't believe in filler. Every project earns its place through architecture, musicality, emotional logic, and narrative purpose. I've spent years learning to see when something isn't working—and I'm not afraid to call it. If it's sloppy, we redo it. If it's hollow, we rebuild it. The work deserves better than 'good enough.'
Collaboration Is a Privilege
I've been lucky enough to work with extraordinary artists, writers, actors, designers, students, administrators, and parents. Each collaboration teaches me something new. Ego stays outside the room. Curiosity and clarity stay inside. I'm here to serve the work, not my reputation.
Deliver Excellence Without Pretension
I know what professional-grade work looks like because I've done it at every level—from intimate workshops to mainstage productions. The goal isn't to impress; it's to create something thoughtful, polished, and alive. Excellence doesn't need to announce itself.
Honor Time and Process
I show up, start, and end on time. Always. I've learned that respect for people's time is respect for their craft. No one ever wonders what's happening next because I've mapped it ten steps ahead. Process isn't rigid—it's responsive, but it's never chaotic.
Creative Honesty
I tell the truth about what the piece needs, what the actor can do, and what we're actually making. Always with care. Never with cruelty. I've learned that real growth comes from honest feedback delivered with respect. I've been on both sides of that conversation, and I know the difference it makes.

The Story

The story behind Stage & Story

Where the work is beautiful and alive.

This is the house I built: part workshop, part unbaked plan, part dream, part epiphany. It wasn't born from a business plan—it rose from a moment that rearranged everything. A quiet rupture. A necessary shift. Life redirected me, and I followed the spark.

Stage is the pulse. Bodies, breath, movement, light. The architecture of intention. This is where I've spent decades learning to carve space with music, rigor, and heat. I've directed everything from intimate new works to large-scale musicals, and I've learned that the same principles apply: every gesture matters, every silence has weight, every moment earns its place.

Story is the spine. The dramaturgy. The logic. The heartbreak that gives a piece its soul. I've worked as a dramaturg on scripts that needed everything and scripts that needed almost nothing—and I've learned to tell the difference. Where narrative becomes momentum and characters learn to live, that's where I do my best work.

Together, this brand is my signature: A director who builds the world and its reason for existing. A creator fluent in avant-garde and classical in equal measure—not because I'm trying to be versatile, but because I genuinely love both. A leader who treats the room like a sacred, electric engine, where people matter as much as product and the work stays human.

I've been doing this long enough to know what I'm good at, and I'm still learning every day. I've worked with artists who've taught me more than I taught them. I've made mistakes that made me better. I've had moments of clarity that changed everything. The timing of all this was… poetic. When one door closed louder than expected, something better rose in the dust. Call it clarity. Call it conviction. Call it the moment I stopped asking permission and started building what I love.

If you're looking for someone to block scenes, keep scrolling. If you're looking for a collaborator who builds theatrical experiences that beat, breathe, and dare—someone who brings decades of experience and the humility to keep learning—

Welcome to Stage & Story. This is where the next era begins.

The work continues—each production a new chapter in the ongoing drama of making theatre that matters. Every rehearsal room, every collaboration, every moment on stage is part of this larger story.
